Algebraic geometer at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Peking University, and a member of the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (BICMR). Mostly thinking about birational geometry — minimal models, singularities, and foliations — and how explicit one can make any of it.

Before returning to Beijing in 2024 I spent three years at Northwestern as a Boas Assistant Professor, working with Yuchen Liu. My Ph.D. (Utah, 2021) was supervised by Christopher Hacon; before that, my undergraduate years at PKU were spent under Gang Tian.

Research

Birational geometry · singularities · foliations · explicit birational geometry.

Currently

Co-organizing the Peking University Algebraic Geometry Seminar with Fumiaki Suzuki, Zhiyu Tian, and Qizheng Yin — talks are also listed on Qizheng's page and on BICMR's site.

On the organizing committee — alongside Ruochuan Liu, Zhiyu Tian, and Qizheng Yin — of the 5th National Algebraic Geometry Conference, to be held at PKU in July 2026.

Also putting together the Conference on Foliation, Fibration, and Moduli at Westlake University this August (24–29, 2026) — speakers, registration, and logistics on the conference page.
